We had the pleasure of attending the end of year awards at Gateshead for the special Olympics, such a fantastic organisation who help the athletes grow physically and socially, was really humbling and inspiring and we had a great night.
The fund got a few call outs about the work we do at Sunningdale school with the SO.
The president of GB SO Lawrie Mcmenemy was handing out the awards and it was great to hear about all the achievements the branch has made in the last eighteen months culminating in the first international athlete going to Canada and winning a silver medal in powerlifting.
We will continue to support SO as we bring them back to Sunningdale next year as it is such a great event for the kids.
